Week 5 (27/9 - 1/10)

A week of documentation.

Catching up

As I was working on prototypes or other research, I created empty articles that just contained a title and a description in my portfolio. The idea was always to fill these in later down the line. Well, that happened this week! My plan is to have weeks or days like this every few weeks, where I just catch up on documentation and make sure everything is up to date.

I received plenty of feedback on my research documents, which have provided me with more than enough to do when combined with the articles added to my portfolio.

Some of the edits to my portfolio.

Feedback during my weekly catch-up included some feedback on what kind of articles I should create for my portfolio. The main point here was that my portfolio is not about the nitty-gritty research, but more of an interface to what I have done. What this means is that there should be a layer between my research and the reader. In this layer I should describe the work and reasoning behind my research.

Spoilers for next week

  • Front-end web page for prototype

  • Edit research documents

  • Start on MVP back-end (more architecture than implementation)

  • Work on proposal for Azure resources
