BUAS

Researchers at BUAS working on the VIBE project are developing a pipeline with which human-like avatars can be generated. This application features extensive customisation options, allowing many types of expressions to be portrayed. The pipeline can be used to quickly analyse animations or perhaps to limit certain expression combinations.

University of Tilburg

The University of Tilburg is working on the AI meant to use the BUAS avatar technology. Similarly to the BUAS researchers, it will be important to verify the AI is creating good material for use in social situations by filtering out unwanted or unnatural expressions automatically. The pipeline can aid this and has the option for the AI to be integrated as a module, allowing for automatic generation and testing if the correct modules are developed.
